Hi there, I'm Cathy!

CEO | Principal of Bookkeeping Bistro

Before founding The Office Grapevine in 2005, Cathy Mallers spent nine years working as the office manager for Chicago’s Robert Mondavi Winery regional sales office. With a background also in shared office space (before it was called co-working – yep, she’s seasoned) and computer technology, Cathy has always liked to build upon and combine her skills until it’s the perfect mix.

For a business to succeed, it must have a professional bookkeeper implementing an effective bookkeeping system. However, many business owners waste valuable time and expose themselves to considerable risk by selecting and managing their bookkeeping processes and systems without professional support.

Cathy has spent her professional career supporting and celebrating the success of those around her. She is on the board of directors president for the Babes With Blades Theatre Company in Chicago. She is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor, REPA certified, and she currently hosts the Money Ritual course for The Kimbra weekly on Friday mornings.on the second Monday every month.

Our client list includes various different industries, past and present, including entrepreneurs, lawyers, coaches, personal trainer, physical therapy, chiropractic, retail, restaurants, real estate, and non-profits, among others.

At Bookkeeping Bistro, we provide data entry, account reconciliation, and your most critical financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements that help you better understand your business’s financial health. Technically, your bookkeeper will enter the information and send you the reports. We like to take things a step further so you’re in a better position to make better and quicker decisions for your business.

When you have your first consultation, it’s essential to be ready to discuss your business’s financial requirements, objectives, and any financial hurdles or apprehensions you might have.

We may also need to review your present financial documents to understand your current financial state better. This consultation lets you determine whether we are a good match for your business and its needs.

Unfortunately, we do not offer tax preparation as part of our services, but we can work with an accountant to ensure your finances are accurate and up-to-date. Ultimately, our goal is to provide peace of mind by taking care of your finances and helping your business thrive.
